The month begins with Venus opposing a retrograde Mars, so ‘it seems’ [many] break-ups may already be ‘well’ underway, but with these planets in ‘receptions’ to each other, some people will retain that friendship feeling, but others will be feeling ‘the loss’ of a much ‘loved one’ even more acutely.

The 4th sees Neptune return to Pisces, but there is no stating the often said, ‘over sensitive’ or ‘psychic’ bollocks/rubbish from me. Its meaning is ‘there’ of course, but i prefer to not even try to understand it, my astrological world often stops at Saturn rings nowadays.

On the 7th Mercurial matters get totally subsumed by a Solar over-lord, ‘who really should know better’; or maybe you will spot ‘one’ person who is in ‘power’ who shows their weaknesses, so watch-out ‘secretaries’.

This day also sees Saturn going retrograde, so watch-out for ‘tears’ before bedtime, and a whole new approach to Saturnine ‘parts’ of your life. For me, Saturn is my 2nd ruler, so i’ll get my ‘finances’ in order, or even better before the 7th.

The 8th sees Venus in detriment, in Aries, soon to conjunct Uranus on the 10th, again its an inner/outer planet aspect, and that could bring almost ‘anything’ with it. ‘Mutant sexual acts’ ha ha, the reported ‘death of love’ full-stop, or even a mass love-in of some sort, who knows.

The 13th gives a Mercury trine Saturn aspect, with Mercury about to dip into its fall and detriment, so a brief ‘reprive’ [of sense] before ducking-down into some nasty ‘mental’ business, which will suit some, but not others.

The morning of the 14th brings Mercury in ‘antiscion’ conjunction to Saturn only hours after the ‘trine’, so whatever happens ‘of these planets’ on the 13th seems to continue, [but in a slightly form] on the 14th.

The rest of the month seems to carry-on with nothing-much changing.

Mars is sesquiquadrate Jupiter on the 16th, with Mercury also sextile Jupiter, and all ‘this’ just days before Mercury opposes the retrograde Mars, and that ‘may’ equal a few intense days of slightly better economic news.

Followed by a quite substantial split, but ‘what in the world’ can we see from Mercury in Pisces opposing Mars in Virgo in the outside World? i haven’t a clue; have you? but ‘by rights’ Mercury should have the upper-hand over Mars by means of ‘sign’ reception, with it getting-pulled into Virgo.

As for me, this opposition ‘aspect’ falls with Mercury conjunct my Saturn, so i hope it doesn’t bring harsh financial news, or work troubles, as Mars is my 10th house ruler.

But it looks as if i can ‘expect’ something pretty big, so i’ll keep an ‘eye’ on this one.

But self-confidence is ‘key’, and i’m only expanding on what others have said, [admittedly because i want to], well you’ve got to get some ‘fun’ out-of-it too, haven’t you.

I say this, as i often get comments like ‘awesome’, ‘excellent’ etc, and people saying they can’t wait for more.

Now, i don’t want it ‘all’ to go to my head, especially as many other sites get similar comments, and i know i’m not the best in the World, and i don’t want to be, i just want to put some good stuff out-there.

But if i had to do a bit of self-analysis, then it has to be ‘down’ to my approach of ‘my’ chosen subject.

The first but ‘crucial’ factor has to be that i ‘know’ my subject, and that has to be an advantage.

Secondly, i’ve chosen to write it in a ‘style’ which isn’t entirely astrological, but as ‘snippets’ of ‘life’ told with the astrology, not so much ‘tagged-on’ but integrated in with common english.

Thirdly, the ‘stories’ i tell are ‘ones’ anyone can put forward, only ‘mine’ combine an interesting slant, and possibly ‘angles’ you don’t get elsewhere, but always readable, so even if you know little about Astrology its not that important, as i try to explain them as i go along.

Fourthly, its also down to choosing your individual post idea well, because if you can’t do justice to it, and add in some new idea’s its perhaps not worth doing.

Fifthly: choose your ‘time’ to write and publish ‘well’. Using Astrology gives you another advantage here, i have ‘timed’ this post to come-out as the Moon conjuncts an exalted Venus, which just happens to ‘fit’ with the ‘bloatedness’ of this post.

Sixthly: Always make it well-written, as nothing puts-off the reader than an unreadable post, hence i usually re-read/write and edit it at least two or three times before publication.

Sadly there are people out-there who can’t write, many of the comments i get are so mixed-up, as to be nonsense, and that is ‘just’ a few words, not hundreds.

Seventh: Don’t sit on an ‘idea’ for too-long, as many a ‘good’ one is lost this way, and sometimes it really is best to write it all up immediately. And also know when to ‘stop’, as an over-continuance can spoil a post.

Lastly, i’ve kept this post reasonably brief, as i don’t want to give ‘all my secrets away’, but you get the ‘idea’. But believe me, there ‘is’ much more to ‘it’.

So, the best ‘trick’ is always [to try to] wrap-up posts within themselves, leaving no loose ends.

Finally: I don’t want to come-across as a big-head, but this cannot be avoided in a post where you are upping yourself, but remember i’ve done [just this, this time], to help you see some of my ‘workings’ and nothing more.

But why is the retrograde station more malefic than the direct station? i think that has to be because it goes against the natural order, which is ‘forward’, simple as that. The direct station must be because its a change of direction, and the loss in ‘speed’ can’t help either.

We must see this as an important factor, because the Sun and Moon never retrograde; and again, ‘life in the main’ is all about moving-on, [sometimes quite quickly], so a retrograde period really puts the ‘brakes’ on ‘for a while’, not so much stopping, but slowing ‘life’ down to a more reflective pace, [maybe].

We must also consider it as ‘going over old ground’ too. Although we ‘hardly’ realise that we are ‘doing just that’ most of the time, meaning….

… the trouble with a planets retrograde motion is… … if you pointed-out to someone a planet was going Rx, and something was possibly ‘happening’ differently [to/for them] during that Rx period, i think most people would be hard-pressed to find something they could say that has changed, so although we know it happens, it is often hard to pin-down, certainly internally, as we ‘do’ when a planet is ‘direct’..

I have already noted a ‘change’ in a few things.

Its happening in Virgo, [so you may have expected] some ‘things’ of this ‘sign’ to appear, and so along comes ‘reforms’ in the British ‘health service’ which are now front page news; but i say, let’s see where they get to by the end of the retrograde period.

Virgo also sees talk of ‘moving’ [relocating] the London ‘design’ centre/museum.

And there’s big news of an oil refinery closing and the potential of chaos it would bring to the ‘car’ owners. Here Mars is all ‘about’ the ‘combustion’ engine, whilst ‘refinery’ and ‘chaos’ are very ‘apt’ Virgoan states of being.

Also just at the ‘time’ of the ‘station’ there’s news of Iran and a ‘blockade/closure’ of the straits of Homuz, which would threaten oil tankers movements, not surprisingly we see the ‘stationed’ Mars on the 7th house of one of Iran’s mundane maps, so the possible threat of a war-like state between the West and Iran seems to be more than feasible just now.

Note: its always ‘worth’ noting that often a previous horoscope for a country, to the current ‘one’ still resonates even afterwards, take the 1801 UK chart as an example.

So once again the Media hasn’t let us down with its World coverage, and let’s not forget Nick Campion’s World Horoscope’s, which has helped this post to be created.

Note: Its funny but out of ‘all’ the posts i’ve written, the ‘ones’ which seem to produce the most fresh and original material are the posts on retrograde motion, especially when a planet is ‘turning’, whether its into retrograde or direct motion, making me think this has to be one of the ‘top’ area’s for ‘new’ astrological ‘understanding’ and possible research, [at least for me].

The eighth house is always a ‘tricky’ one though, as it house meanings can seem so distant from what we recognize as our ‘self’.
But a ‘part’ of ourselves it is; even though a lot of it is made manifest through a partner and what they bring to your life, and of course ‘death’ which for most of us is only experienced ‘once’, and is rather ‘final’.

Of course ‘others’ death’s are frequently experienced in our lifetimes, so it has more than a ‘singular’ meaning. Although ‘your’ death, is most definitely shown your eighth house. I always worry about my ‘heart’, as Leo is on my 8th house cusp, and although i was born with what felt like a strong ‘heart’, [because of the Sun in the 'angular' 7th house, with no malefic planets aspecting it], i know that after many years of smoking i have weakened it, but if i gave-up, it would part repair itself.

Unfortunately my father’s mother smoked heavily and even when i saw her weakened body near death and swore not to end-up the same way i never was able to take the ‘lesson’ from her death onboard, more’s the pity.

Strangely at 46 years old i haven’t seen many of my near family die, but as i get older these ‘days’ are sure to come, and with more frequency, so i will have to learn to deal with it ‘when it comes’. This has been a fair ‘constant’ in my life, [up-to-now], and has really helped me live a ‘good life’, with little sorrow.

Now, with no wife, comes little knowledge of what ‘dowry’ they may bring, but i have always thought that with the Sun in the 7th house, any ‘monies’ they ‘may have’ would pretty much stay with themselves, or i’d have to fight hard to get ‘at’ what is their’s, but this ‘angular’ placement should show they have looked-after what they ‘have’, although its quite irrelevant if i never marry or get seriously attached to someone.

Coley says, someone with this position could marry a wealthy person, which always helps, [i suppose], and he says this person may be a ‘foreigner’, and the marriage may be in his or her foreign country, [which is simply saying you will either marry in your or their's country], which seems quite obvious.

And he says it’s also likely that i would outlive them, which in itself is good, but what if you also marry someone who has their lord 8 in the 7th, is it ‘then’ a battle to see who will out-survive who?

He says no more, and neither have i anymore to add, only perhaps with lord 8 Mercury, also ruling in a sizeable part of the eighth house, and also placed in the seventh house, it must surely double-up this ‘meaning’.

And so it is with the next ‘house’, the ninth, which has two rulers placed in the same house.

More of that soon-ish.

I answered i don’t really know, but i thought it will be different for everyone, depending on what planets ‘hit’ [aspect] your planet’s in your natal chart.

I did say that for ‘us’ with Jupiter in Gemini ‘natally’ things would pick-up in June when Jupiter returns there.

But on a general level, here’s what i could’ve said…

… firstly no-one really uses the 01 01 2012 midnight chart to calculate the year ahead. The ingress chart of April 2011, [0 degrees Aries] is still in ‘play’ along with the 0 degree Capricorn ingress chart, at least until April 2012.

But to answer her question i am going to pick-out month by month what it is that i would look at. It is not everything i would look at, but gives you an idea of what it is i do.

January: there’s no doubt [in my mind] what the biggest event is, Mars going retrograde, happening just under every two years.

Venus runs it close at a year and a half, and it certainly is not like Mercury which retrogrades 3 times a year.

So look-out for something Martian, but in the Mercurial sphere, [as it is in Virgo] going into ‘trouble’ around the 24th. [Just use your mind-power to see what is developing around this time]. Its not much ‘use’ trying to guess ‘what it will be’ too early-on, but news stories will start to show where the action is, like the British ‘media’ ethics enquiry changing ‘tact’.

Also look at the Venus trine Saturn aspect on the 13th as it happens at 29 degrees of the signs which are in mutual reception by sign, so i guess we’ll have ‘something’ coming-up which will be of a great ‘culmination’ before things change significantly. Again it could be anything ‘in the sphere of’ Venus mixed with Saturn.

On the 14th Venus enters Pisces and spends its time until the 7th of February ‘exalted’ there, but as it is also in reception to Jupiter, this is probably a ‘golden’ period of the year, as both planets are ‘benefics’ and neither are retrograde, but the ‘highlight’ of the period [comes all to soon] on the 15th, when Venus trines Jupiter, and that’s a pity as these planets indicate such a ‘lovely’ time.

Then there’s a ‘blip’ on the 19th as the Sun squares Saturn, but its ‘mixed’ malign influence doesn’t last long, as soon thereafter the Sun changes sign.

Its pretty quiet ‘after that’ up until the end of the month, with nothing but Jupiter square the New Moon on the 23rd, perhaps showing a ‘stilted’ optimism, for the month ahead on the economy.

As for me personally, i look forward to the time when Venus conjuncts my natal Saturn around the 28th. A couple of days when a possible boost to my finances may occur, or my love-life may improve, but on writing this ‘bit’ [right now] it all ‘sounds’ a little too much like a ‘vague’ newspaper or magazine forecast, and surely i can do better than that for myself, i’ll have to go away and ‘think’ a bit harder.

And this is exactly what did occur over this year’s festive period, and this is why i just had to ‘report’ this ‘incidence’ to you all, and the planets perhaps show why it took place then.

Here in England a woman made over 750 hoax calls to one counties emergency services, [that's 999 here, or 911 in the 'states'], and all between December 24th and 27th, so that is a lot of calls.

Now this is rather ‘excessive’ by anyone’s standards, and the lady involved would seem to be seriously disturbed.

Now, it would be fascinating to know her ‘birthdate/time’, but in the absence of ‘that’ the ‘planets’ between the dates mentioned will have to be used.

Well its of no doubt, with the Sun squaring Uranus just before the beginning of these events the stage was set for some very ‘quirky’ self expression, putting herself up against the authorities, the [Sun].

And with the end of the ‘period’ coinciding with the Sun conjuncting Pluto, it saw the ‘ending’ of this excessive/compulsive behaviour, for this woman at least.

Its also worth noting where the Moon was during most of this period, being in Capricorn, where its in its ‘fall’ seems appropriate if only in the ‘way’ she let herself down.

Usually the ‘folk’ [Moon] knowledge would be to ‘never’ do this kind of troublesome act, as ‘its’ well-known amongst most people not to do it.

But maybe by its ‘very’ placement here in Capricorn, gave a time when it was kind of ‘right’ or ‘appropriate’ to ‘act’ in a rather ‘lowly’ and ‘despicable’ manner.

We must also consider the sign of Virgo, which when in its ‘highest form’ is a sign which conforms to doing the ‘right’ thing, but Mars here is partly susceptible to ‘causing’ this kind of trouble, by doing the ‘wrong’ thing by being troublesome.

But it takes a load of ‘fixity’, and a rather ‘determined’ mind to set-out to do this ‘act’.

Which brings-in the ‘fixed’ signs, now Capricorn is a cardinal sign, and with the Moon conjuncting Pluto during this ‘time period’ it obviously helped to keep her in the mood, and with the Moon in ‘fixed’ Aquarius conjuncting Venus at the end ‘of this period’ her pleasure-ride had reached its conclusion.

But it was really Jupiter that was ‘there’ on a ‘mission’, i believe his ‘stationary’ place on the 25th at 0 degrees of Taurus was what really made her steadfastly stick to her guns, and sad to say some people’s experience of this fixed earth sign, if they have poor intelligence is to doggedly continue on a ‘path’ others would see as ‘ridiculous’, but this Jupiter was slowing-down and turning around, and that’s partly why she ‘hit’ it hard, [a bit like how 'hard' it is hitting me with not knowing her date/time of birth], only joking there, still, what can be done with her, as we can’t blame the ‘planets’ motions on affecting her ‘life’ now can we?

But with events like ‘these’, she almost ‘personified’ Jupiter’s course, and the other planet’s rather negative actions.

But it still leaves us with a few unanswered questions, especially ‘why’ the authorities let it get to over 750 calls? i refer back to this posts title, [a call for help].

Now, is it possible that some ‘planetary’ groupings can possibly ‘tip’ someone over-the-edge? by hitting home hard, yes i think so. But you must have some kind of ‘genetic’ [planetary] make-up to make you susceptible to doing this kind of behaviour, and the ‘time’ must be right too.

So that brings us to the ‘everlasting’ theory that [some people do find Christmas a stressful time], and i’m sure the ‘operators’ at that ‘centre’ found it so.

So she rang the place you normally ‘call for help’ 750 times, but probably never asked for the ‘help’ she really needed most, and it wasted the countries resources in the process.

Now a few words on ‘what’ our ancient Astrologer’s said about any planet going from retrograde motion to station and direct motion.

They said its like a ‘prisoner’ getting released from jail’. Now this ‘metaphor’ can be applied to many a situation.

And as Jupiter obviously symbolises the emergency services, [in one sense], we can simply see it as bringing-out the ‘help’ services, and so with it still being retrograde [only just] as she started the calls, she was ‘on the phone’ almost knowing she wouldn’t get ‘the services’ out, [or maybe not even really wanting to, as then she couldn't continue on her path, for one thing], meaning too, she was somewhat sure in the knowledge the hoaxes would lead to no ‘vehicles’ being released, i.e. the ‘prisoner’, here seen as [transport] wasn’t being ‘let-out’ easily, in those last few hours of a retrograde Jupiter.

And she may of ‘sensed’ that Jupiter would soon be ‘freer’, [to act] when it turned-direct, still, she was never going to be the ‘human’ agent of that massive a ‘change’ [of what Jupiter represents] by herself now, was she.

But after Jupiter went ‘direct’ there was every ‘chance’, [in her mind] that something would eventually ‘give’, so that’s probably partly why she continued, and also ‘because’ these professional’s have to answer every 999 call, and cannot do otherwise, [so to someone who is hoaxing] its like a ‘present’ that is always ‘given’ time and time again.

So with Jupiter stationary and then going direct, and slowly ‘getting’ out of a bad position, [what is more appropriate] than continuing to call-out for help, and knowing your call can never be refused, for what is i imagine a very ‘lonely’ woman, who probably felt that all her Christmasses had come at once.

Note: of course, i do not know all the details of what made her do the things she did, and ‘what she is like’ as a person is only a best guess at most, you understand. And its hard to mix a person’s motives to the planets motions, but i hope you get the general idea.

Final note: when writing on any story you must always take the ‘little’ basic Astrology you know, [like the meaning of a planet going 'direct'] and think about ‘what’ is happening at this time, to allow you to ‘come’ to a greater understanding, and not to be ‘scared’ to think a little further about something that might be ‘phrased’ one way, but could mean a ‘whole-lot-more’ if you allow yourself to work on it, and let it develop.

With only one year to go until the 21st of December 2012, i find myself drawn more and more to what this date may bring to the World. I also wonder if the ‘use’ of Astrology can help unravel anything of ‘its’ possible meaning. But it seems [to me] rather pointless to speculate on ‘whatever’ may occur on this date with the field-so-open to every possible conceivable event, and ‘even’ some unconceivable ones too. But even then we must also live with the possibility of ‘nothing’ happening ‘at all’.

It is only one date of ‘many’ in this calendar, but it’s the fact that so many ‘mayan’ prediction ‘dates’ have had an event coinciding with them, that makes me susceptible to thinking that another one is coming along, like the rest, and of course we half think [with it being] the last ‘one’, that it has to be ‘major’ one, but does it really have to be.

But with this mayan calendar coming to an end, maybe this ‘time’ it is not so much about any ‘one’ prediction/event, but more about ‘why’ it is ending? perhaps the answer simply is, ‘that it is’ just not needed anymore. And maybe with one door closing surely another will open, but it doesn’t have to be through the ‘mayans’.

People talk of a ‘shift in consciousness’.

But what will replace it? i suggest it could be ‘that’ we as group of individuals will be able to predict ‘life’ itself, taking-out some of the ‘need’ for mayan-like predictions. And i also think it is more ‘likely’ we would’ve entered a ‘time’ when all ‘predictions’ are off, meaning that ‘everything’ has already been ‘told’, and basically we have ‘caught-up-with-ourselves’, and are ready for something ‘new’ perhaps.

Whether we ‘start’ to live anew is debatable, but we may just of thrown-off the shackles of a ‘past’, which may have been slowly coming to an end over the past ‘few’ years, [however many 'years' that might have been, i don't know].

I say this in particular, [as to me], we have lived in a World [lately] where we constantly refer in the ‘life’ [which we lead] ‘now’ as always clearing-up the near past, hardly ever moving forward, almost [as if in a] semi-dreamlike state where we are trapped in a reoccurring ‘now’, unable to do anything, and to move-on.

So is all ‘that’ coming to an end? and can we ‘finally’ push onto something new.

Now, can ‘life’ have a turning-point, all within the ‘space’ of a ‘day’? it seems unlikely doesn’t it, but maybe that day is just a seeding-time, especially as it corresponds to the Winter Ingress.

But what i’m hinting at, is… …what do we know of ‘celestial mechanics’ and the ‘will of God’. And as ‘life’ moves forward on a circular path, and life must have ‘dividing’ lines somewhere, so why not December 21st 2012.

The Astrology of the ‘day’ is pretty uninspiring, but does that ‘count-it-out’? well [maybe], but it all depends on what we are looking-for, doesn’t it. Isn’t it just a whole lot easier to wait until the day and see what happens.

The ‘clueless’ must remain just that. Whereas i and many more will try to [make sense] of it, or an educated guess based-on whatever ‘earthly’ knowledge we profess to hold.

So what now? it is possible [of course] to ‘put’ just about any ‘strongly’ held belief onto the date. I for example could interpret it as meaning, people will suddenly wake-up to the fact that clock-time is useless, [in that] all it does is the one ‘thing’, in that it only ‘tells the time’ and nothing more, and so ‘offers’ little more than that. Whereas ‘life’ lived through Astrology and the way it ‘divides’ up time, is offering far more to mankind, and we perhaps we could adopt it more ‘alongside’ the ‘humble’ clock, and therefore come 21/12/2012 we should all be trying to run our lives in this dual-manner, and so the prediction of the end of time [as we knew it] would be fulfilled by not totally relying on ‘hours’, as we start to live in a ‘way’ [like where] the Mayan’s made future forecasts, [maybe based loosely on Astrology, and our future dates], as ‘now’ we could have/gain the ability through Astrology to do what they did, albeit maybe ‘not’ so distant in time.

What i’m saying is adopt Astrology more, as the standard clock is only helpful in that it helps us ‘not’ to look at the ‘skies’ for our ‘timings’, after all without ‘clocks’ what would we fall-back on? yes, the skies. There is no other ‘alternative’. But its not a WAR, the two can live together in harmony.

Why do i put this ‘idea’ forward, well because it is ‘as possible’ an outcome for this date, as anything else, well in theory anyway, but who will/is making the ‘push’ for this eventuality to happen, [that’s the crunch], as there seems to be [no way] we’ll just wake-up on the December the 21st and see it has happened overnight, making this eventuality almost an impossibility, but this ‘idea’ does have ‘legs’ and is as possible as any other ‘outcome’.

It is still ‘possible’, [i suppose] that Astrology could come to prominence on that ‘date’ and a major ‘ball’ could start-rolling, and that would be a ‘great’ start. The truth is Astrology has been around ‘forever’, even if it wasn’t ‘discovered’ and used for many millions of years. Today people like me are working to bring-it-back to greater use, even if many of those who ‘use’ it today don’t really understand that ‘that is’ what they are working for/towards.

But what is it that i ‘really want’ for Astrology anyway? well let’s put it this way, it all comes down to what does ‘everyone’ want, meaning [only] if ‘you’ as an ‘individual’ want Astrology in your life, you will have to make it come-about, as it is ‘one’ of the very ‘few’ things in life which we can make happen for ourselves, and don’t necessarily have to ‘get’ through others help, or waiting for ‘our’ fix of it, as in a news broadcast/some commentator etc, although ‘one day’ that may be just exactly [what we want] in ‘part’ too, after building-up our individual network[s].

But after saying all this, i still have to admit that my money is still on some big disaster, but ‘i would just love it’ if Astrology did make it ‘big’ on the World stage from that day forward. But not even a ‘big’ BBC News special or You Tube Video, or Google advert will help, no corporate adoption of it, will do it, perhaps a I Pad app could help, and Movie deals would help, as would free lessons available to all, but the CRUNCH is, any success in this World is always ‘backed’ by knowledgeable workers who can provide a ‘decent’ service to all seekers, and to my knowledge we have nothing ‘close’ to that yet.

Note: Back to the Mayan’s, i am no scholar of things mayan, but once again i use what i know of Astrology to inform my words. And perhaps if i looked at their ‘people’s’ words more, i wouldn’t have written this ‘post’ in the way i did, so i go away to learn more, and perhaps come back with a better understanding; but i still stand by what i’ve written so far. As, as much as the ‘good’ which will come from it, it was an exercise in showing how one ‘man’ can take an ‘unknown’ and apply his version of possible events to it, and ‘show’ how easy it is to play with a future, which in all probability has little or nothing to do with Astrology, as such. Then again it may do.

And i don’t apologize for doing so, as Good and Bad lives amongst/within us all, and the knowledge and acceptance of this ‘gets’ a wider ‘truth’ told, and maybe a better story too.

Remember: the end is also the beginning, and without ‘stopping-and-changing-points’ we would all go-on forever, in loops.

Finally: I will be back in 2012 with more posts. I also want to acknowledge that my post on Astrology and Newspaper Titles has generated much comment, so perhaps i can devise more on this subject, as my mind is whirring-away with possible idea’s, but we’ll see.

On the face-of –it i have 3 rulers of my seventh house but really only Mercury as cusp ruler should be considered. The Moon ‘as ruler of’ Cancer is in here, as the sign sits entirely inside my 7th house, and as Leo only has 8 degrees in this house, it shouldn’t really be considered, but i will include its meaning.

So as said Mercury is lord 7, and it is placed in the 7th, and the Moon is in my 6th house although it is only 8 degrees from the 7th cusp, so i look at it as ‘doubling-up’ the lord 7 in the seventh’s meaning as well as being in the sixth.

Also in the equation i shouldn’t overlook that the Moon is conjunct Jupiter, [lord 1], which shows that i have a strong connection between lord one and lord seven, plus the other strong connection ‘of’ Mercury in Jupiter’s exaltation sign, with Jupiter in Mercury’s sign. All factors ‘i’ consider when looking at ‘any’ one house.

All this, and i still remain a single-man at age 46, and whereas i might have thought that more personal relationships would’ve been in my life, obviously i must have other strong or mitigating factors working at keeping me single. Or it might just be that the right ‘progressions’ haven’t occurred yet.

I have had some quite close ‘ties’ but nothing anywhere close to either ‘living together’ or marrying someone.

Let’s see what Coley says…

… lord 7 in the 6th house. He is quite downbeat, as you might expect from a planet placed in the sixth house. The Moon is not ill-dignified so i may escape marrying a person of ‘low and mean esteem’ as he puts it. He then says i may be guilty of ‘lying and treacherous acts’, in connection to ‘relationships’ [i take him to mean]. Then a glimmer of hope, he says these can be contradicted by the planet, [here the Moon] in friendly or benevolent aspects. Well i do have the Moon in conjunction to Jupiter, and as i do generally try to ‘rise-above’ dastardly’ acts, its ‘beneficial’ influence seems clear, but as Jupiter is in detriment, my ‘nature’ is prone to many weaknesses, which i know well.

Lord 7 in the 7th gives this account… … Coley once again makes great use of whether [this] planet is well or ill dignified. Mercury by itself is neither of these, but the qualifying factors here has to be Mercury in conjunction to a fairly strong Venus which has to help in one way or another, and with Venus as the fifth ruler, perhaps i should stick to ‘affairs of the heart’ over serious commitment.

But where Mercury falls down ‘dramatically’ is its trine to Saturn which brings both planets down into ‘detriment’ by reception of ‘sign’, and as Saturn is the loner, [or the 'alone'] planet, it makes for a rather good argument as to why i have remained ‘single’.

Coley then suggests i should marry ‘credibly’ and not ‘dishonour’ myself in doing so, but he warns me to always remain wary of falling-into discord or contention with the women i partner with, and ‘its true’, because i have had some experience of this kind.

And that leaves the Sun ruling the Leo part, but i have it placed in the 7th house, so the exact same ‘description’ would apply.

So, my thoughts on the matter are, that ‘i feel’ that it is not always as ‘automatic’ or a ‘given’ that planets in the seventh house will provide a partner, especially ‘it seems’ if Saturn is involved in there somewhere, and it is more likely that he is just delaying any possible ‘event’ until i am old and mature enough to ‘handle’ it, but somehow i think [or know] that my situation is unlikely to change, and i am just ‘unlucky’ that way.

Plus its worth remembering that planets ‘ruling’ [or in the seventh] are ‘only’ highlighting that area of life, and in my case are only making ‘me’ very aware of ‘just what it is i haven’t got’.

But that doesn’t mean it always has to be that way; or does it? that is a hard one to ‘call’.

So, the seventh house is all about relationships and contentions; certainly Coley thought so, as he ‘only’ talked about these things in his book.

Mostly i agree with him, as the full 7th house ‘interpretations’ are only slightly ‘more’ than these ‘things’.

But its the titles of the Newspapers that i’m interested in today, and how they ‘may’ be connected to one planet or another.

But whether the planet[s] i’m connecting them to, means the papers are fully ‘aligned’ to being ‘like’ that planet i cannot say.

But maybe [if there is something in this] you will/do buy a ‘news’ title due to the connected planet’s writing style and content, and the way it filters its content ‘down to you’ via the planet in the title.

The first planet/news title is so obvious it needs no real explanation.

‘The Sun’, or maybe it should have been called the ‘Daily Sun’, as no other planet is ‘so’ connected to the ‘day’.

The Moon, is the ‘Daily Mirror’ and is a obvious counterpart to the Sun, because both are luminaries. With a ‘Mirror’ being a very Moon type ‘reflective’ object.

And because these two titles are very popular they reflect essential reading for some of the general pubic, as important as night and day.

Following on from that Mercury reflects itself in the title of the ‘Daily Mail’, with its name ‘the Mail’ being connected to Letters, ‘in the post’, a very Mercurial connection.

Venus is a tricky one to connect to a News title, but i think ‘The Observer’ newspaper sounds ‘right’ to me, with the passiveness Venus often displays.

And ‘The Daily Express’ has to have a connection to Mars, with the title connecting to quickness .

And ‘The Guardian’ sounds very Jupiterian to me. But as said, is it really anymore of a Jupiterian read inside?

And what could be any more Saturnine sounding then the ‘The Times’. A good factual steady read, bordering on seriousness, well perhaps.

That leaves ‘The Independent’ newspaper as a proper Uranian title, but is it more of a ‘conservative’ read inside?

Now i suppose ‘Community titles’ and free newspapers must be doing a Neptunian favour to the public.

As for Plutonian titles i am stumped, i wonder if there are any, at least on public sale. Underground titles perhaps, and those one’s which are ‘secret’ or anti-establishment i guess.

Now, i wasn’t trying to make any real point today with this post, only that it is interesting that maybe the news comes to you in the ‘form’ of planet[s], but not having read a ‘paper’ for years its hard for me to say for sure that if you pick-up The Daily Express for instance you will get a Martian slant on the news, or even ‘more’ Martian type coverage in that day’s news than if you pick-up the Solar ‘Sun’. But its possible they have a certain planetary style i guess.

Note: i felt it was worth a ‘post’, even if ‘at most’ it is probably a long-jump from a ‘title’ to ‘content’.

Hope you found it interesting.

But sometimes ‘things’ are happening in the World which seem to be happening ‘as a whole’ and you really have to think about it as a ‘situation’, [a planetary pattern if you like] working-out, if and when it ‘finds’ an appropriate and similar ‘pattern’ already existing here in the World, or even just the potential for it.

I mean, things may lay dormant for a while in so many area’s of life then along comes, in this example Jupiter in Taurus, and suddenly a ‘representative’ of it on ‘earth’ kicks-into-life and action.

It may of been quietly doing its thing in the material World, then suddenly it becomes an ideal candidate for this planet[s] position’s ‘energy’ to get brought to the fore, and worked-upon, with no charts required, only something, whatever that human construct is. Now ready to be acted-upon by a planets movements.

Now, i have to think long and hard, like most people about how Astrology works, and i can only say ‘you and it’ need to be ready, or in sync.

And remember if Astrology is ‘anything’ its all about telling ‘you’ where you are in ‘your/the’ astrological round.

Not that any of this guarantees anything, as the ‘force’ of Astrology on one individual, or one’s self on the World due to the ‘powers’ put upon you will ever amount to much; but on nations, now there’s another story, and with 17 of them, then its big.

Now, looking at Jupiter in Taurus, if i said it was totally responsible for the European economic collapse i’d be rather irresponsible myself, but i still feel it has a bearing.

So let’s look at it symbolically, Taurus or rather its ruler Venus is a ‘money’ planet, and so is Jupiter, but more so, in the sense of riches. So it takes no great leap of imagination to pair the two-up and see a small pattern emerging.

Then we can expand on this by thinking of Jupiter’s wide-ranging-influence, so now we have a pattern emerging, but we now need something to pin-it-unto, hence the socio/economic group of countries, which ‘exists’ in Europe.

Now its ‘like’ we have a/the ‘game’ called/set-up and the ‘teams’ assembled, and sky and earth have a meeting place.

Now, if Jupiter, or any of the planets did nothing but ‘traverse’ the signs, going straight-through and never varying from that course, i.e. due to retrograde motion, or if they never touched/aspected the other planets, we wouldn’t have much of a ‘game’/'life’ would we.

Thankfully we can monitor life here on earth as we have ‘Astrology’, and therefore a/the ‘inside’ track.

So with Jupiter Rx just now, we have ‘things’ in a right mess, and in a way that is just as ‘it should be’.

But here’s an idea, and its only a supposition, and not a proven idea.

Jupiter is going back from 10 degrees to 0 degrees of Taurus, so in a way to the ‘beginning’ or ‘starting point’ of the sign, does this symbolically see everyone in this ‘financial’ bailout/meltdown being brought-back to a ‘place’ where essentially they have ‘little’ or nothing, simply by the fact of 0 degrees being the stationary retrograde degree, when the ‘get out of jail card is dealt. Its an odd surmise, but there may be something in it.

But its ‘certain’ that a lot of economy’s are having to start again from a very low-point.

Now to the ‘Future’, on November the 16th we have what is usually a very positive aspect ‘Mars trine Jupiter’, which when well-placed by its signs can bring wealth and prosperity, only this time both planets are ‘brought-down’ by being in a negative reception to each other, with Mars going into Taurus and Jupiter into Virgo.

This is very negative, and could see one set of people/nations bringing the other down, and vice versa, so watch for ‘it’, as it’ll undoubtedly be wealth related.

Plus watch-out for the growth of those who are [anti-the-richest-people], with those people saying that these people are the ones ‘who don’t need it’, as their demonstrations are sure to be ‘on-the-rise’ for a short period too.

Finally: I want to tell you that i have a hope that ‘one day’ a quick summary of ‘life on earth’ through Astrology could be commonplace with little articles like these. Giving us the ‘power’, [or at least the chance to] understand with our hands/minds. and perhaps to do a whole ‘lot’ more for ourselves and others.

But it is already here in many ways on the Web, it may just need a make-over and thoughts of ‘just how it is written’ and comes-over to the populace.

Now, as for the ‘money men’ i only hope that they ‘glimpse’ just what it is they are taking-away from the common man by their efforts, which is all in order to ‘balance their books’.

As much thought is needed before they totally ‘shake’ many of our ‘core’ life [values and needs] ‘to the ground’, and make them fully disintegrate, or even disappear.

For sometime now Mercury has been close to making a conjunction to Venus, and under normal circumstances it would’ve been made by now and be well on its way through the signs.

But Mercury is slowing down for a retrograde period to start soonish.

So, on November the eighth it gets as close as it will be, just [3 minutes] from perfecting, and that’s very close, but still not good enough, especially if you’re pinning your hopes on this conjunction happening.

Now, ‘wishing for’ something due to this aspect is something you may be doing, and probably unconsciously, without even realising it.

Anyhow you may already be starting to get an ‘inkling’ that some ‘thing’ isn’t meant to be.

And this will go for the Euro, and Greece debacle too.

So Mercury ‘refrains’ by turning retrograde before the conjunction can be made, and its/any ‘promise’ is then broken.

Now ‘this’ may not be such a bad thing, in a lot of ‘cases’, but its more likely that you had a vested interest in some ‘things’ happening, especially as you may of had lots of ‘energy’ riding on this aspect completing rather than on any ‘lucky escape’ of any value.

Now, those of you who have your natal charts can pair-up Mercury and Venus houses and try to see ‘where’ the promise isn’t going to come, [or let's say a possible disappointment], or indeed something ‘that was never going to be’.

You may also find that whatever ‘it was’ is signified by the ‘house’ the conjunction was going to happen in. But where do we ‘place’ [when] this non-event happens? is it on the 8th when they are closest, so roughly 7 degrees of Sagittarius, or maybe 20 degrees of said sign when Mercury goes retrograde, its a bit of a mute point really. But you get a ‘rough’ area at which to look in/at.

So, look-out-for the ‘near’ but ultimately [to-back-out of 'things'] this non-aspect brings.

Now, we look to the World for supporting evidence.

Looking at the Euro, with this aspect in ‘play’ over the next few days, i believe something ‘big’ isn’t going to happen, probably the money bailout being accepted.

But in Astrology we must always remember not to view any aspect etc in isolation, as there are always other ‘factors’ coming along fast that always change it around.

Now, looking at Greece’s chart[s], the 1830 chart shows the country’s instability, shown by the progressed Moon conjunct natal Uranus, while being in sextile to natal Pluto.

Tonight, Greece has a Mars return, and with it placed on the 3rd cusp they are getting a ‘hammering’ from their neighbours. Plus as Mars rules in the 10th and 11th houses, tonight is just right for a new government. And so it proved as they got rid of the old leader.

In the 1974 chart Mercury lord 4 is now with Neptune, and as the 4th is neighbour’s money, its all a bit ‘fuzzy’ right now. Placed on the 6th cusp it shows Greece’s sickly state. It also ‘nears’ the co-lord 4 Venus, and so it seems the ‘neighbours’ monies is ‘staying in their pockets’.

But we have a tertiary progressed Moon being lord 1 opposite Venus on November 10th, so we’ll only see any money taken with great ‘troubles’ involved, its more likely to affect the Government.

Now at times, we find the ‘stars’ really do signify accurate ‘timing’, but just ‘what’ event/person they signify is more difficult to do, but not impossible, if you want to puzzle-them-out.

Note: I leave you with this, i hope if you’ve learnt anything, hopefully it is that you sometimes have to look at ‘what isn’t there’ as much as ‘what is there’, which in this case amounts to the same thing, [a non-event].

After all a ‘refranated’ aspect can only do something of its own ‘nature’, just like any part of Astrology.

Update: As i expected the bailout to Greece faded-away when the aspect got closest but never happened.

And the teritary aspect wasn’t strong enough to make ‘anything’ but a new leader happen.

And as of November 16th no bailout to Greece has occurred.

We are currently saturated with a vision of the ‘World’, [one we have 'created'], in which many live a life where we are shown individuality through a few chosen people on our TV screens whilst ‘making’ a choice to live as a ‘individual’ outside of ‘this’ world gets harder and harder to do, ‘why’? because its so tightly run, [that we] when choosing the ‘alternative’ are left with ‘very little’ from the sucked-up ‘life’ we are meant to abide to. I’m not anti-life just aware of how ‘lost’ we have become inside that vision, but there’s ‘signs’ it is slowly changing. Its likely you may find this isn’t your perception or way-of-life.

Astrology can give you ‘that’ alternative and help create a ‘life’ you can recognise as ‘your own’, which once created, is not really that different from the World you have known, [as it has to 'have' the ways of the World as your basis], only ‘now’ you may start to get a ‘handle’ on it, and start to ‘sense’ your ‘own’ personal power and strength, and you may now start to see where ‘life’ emanates from, and where in ‘your’ own World it can be directed to.

Astrology is ‘occult’ [hidden] from you only up-until-the-day you start to make it work for you.

I’m not saying Astrology should set itself up against the ways of the World nor should it overcome today’s world, no, it should inform and compliment what we do, [but i say] if it becomes bigger [in a general way], and gets taken more seriously then so-be-it.

Because ‘life’ must be led according to it subsequent parts, but where do you put your belief? and what fuels your ideas and spurs you on? Astrology once ‘begun’ becomes a self-fuelling, [not fooling] tool. Just look at how far i’ve brought my Astrology blogs, mixing my World, and the World to Astrological knowledge.

Astrology should inform, and let’s take an example, ‘potatoes’, at its most basic we make the connection to the Moon as a Potato is a very ‘watery’ vegetable, and at another level to the 2nd house, as it is a object and ‘foodstuff’ which we put down our throats.

On a grander scale ‘anything’ in this World can be used though as an example.

Further down the road, the range of our knowledge of ‘where’ we can use Astrology runs [in this case] from when to plant, and if its a good year for them, to even whether we ‘like’ them or can even tolerate them.

All this can be worked-out more or less, although some ‘parts’ may be whilst looking-back, and that is fine, but that’s as far as it can go astrologically, [although surprising uses/understanding's do occasionally appear], whereas we must leave the ‘buying and selling’ of products to those who do that.

And so we get to see Astrology’s limits, [or at least] where ‘it’ can join-into the everyday World.

Now ‘specifically’ back to Astrology versus the World; firstly what are we scared of?, Astrology does little harm, except where we over-step the bounds of human decency, and secondly who’s life is it anyway? meaning we have as much ‘right’ to follow and study the ‘planets’ courses as anyone has ‘of say’ worshipping a particular person and their ‘ways’, ‘more so in fact’ as God ‘put’ and ‘made’ the Universe, and said ‘worship’ him/it, not celebrities/idols etc, [you get my point hopefully] .

So Astrology could no more take-over the World then i could, as its an abstract principle looking for expression, which means it comes and goes, and only becomes as strong or weak as those ‘times’ it is used to good or bad effect, and ultimately can be started or stopped at any moment, [by your use]. Becoming all-powerful or powerless, if we do/don’t ‘use it’ for the ‘continuing process of life’ along which we all travel.

So telling ourselves that we ‘must’ or ‘should’ follow it, isn’t half as bad in my opinion, as believing in so many of things which we do ‘work-at’ and believe in today.

Inflexibility is killing life, but knowing the kinds of ‘times’ one is living in, and how it relates to you, which ‘is’ Astrology in a nutshell, will redeem us all in ‘time’, as the robotic-style-of-life is denying what we all are, free-thinking and ever-changing individuals each ‘constantly’ affected, but so differently, because we all had different starting-points, [our birthday's and years].

So staying in touch with ourselves, and starting to re-learn ‘that the’ ‘planets’ are playing on our minds and bodies, and ‘thinking’ how this is ‘moving us’ will ‘get us’ acting according to the celestial movements, a dance that if performed correctly, would out-strip any performer[s] on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’.

Now, the most important point i can make in this post is the invert of the title which is, the World versus [or against Astrology], now every Astrologer has heard or read about those opposed to it and why, but here are a few reasons why i think it should be embraced.

1. Why life unfolds as it does; meaning ‘as our life plays-out’ we could ‘all’ really benefit from knowing that all the ‘promises’ inherent in our natal chart will work-out, [or at least some will] according to our progressed horoscopes. And what a great ‘boon’ to Astrology’s armoury this is, plus its benefit to humankind.

2. Why we are drawn to do what we do; the particular ‘courses’ we take. Whether through opportunity or an internal urge Astrology may be able to shed-some-light on the matter, with the participants help.

3. Teaching how ‘everything’ is ruled by a/the planet[s], and how that knowledge has spin-off potentials. Imagine every child ‘in class’ being taught to put a ‘planet’ to every object and the potential outpourings in all future dealings in life, it sounds like great fun, well it does to me. Ha ha.

Want to know why we do what we do, when we do it, then the ‘A’ in a circle isn’t just for Anarchy its for Astrology too. As personal knowledge, and i mean knowledge you’ve created for yourself in your own mind is a kind of Anarchy, which hurts no-one but really helps keep you sane.

4. To help develop a compassionate attitude by seeing people live-out difficult configurations, as some people really do need help, and Astrology can help tell them why things are as they are for them.

And to rejoice in someone/thing special, as ‘as much’ as I loathe celebrity culture, the people who can do special things and talents do make the World a better place for ordinary people like me.

So make the ‘change’ before you lose the ‘vision’ of continuing to act and be natural, because we all need to ‘connect’ before we lose the ability, in a World which swamps-us with mixed messages which only help-us-to-forget who we are and where it all comes from. Its time to find, and not lose ourselves.

What informs that choice i wonder?

And what choice do they really have in the matter now its underway, not much i’d say.

So what is it against Scorpio? and are Libran’s the better bet?

Is it just personal dislike, [or more], or did they read something bad about Scorpio’s, we’ll not know ‘why’ they said this unless we speak to them personally, but unless they have some ‘very good’ reckoning like why Scorpio’s wouldn’t fit in with the rest of the family dynamic, it may just be ill-informed info that Libran’s are preferable to Scorpio’s.

Let’s look at some of the manifestation’s of Jupiter placed in Taurus, [and here] ‘mainly’ because of its retrograde motion.

Taurus is a fixed earth sign, so ‘digging-in’ in a situation is quite appropriate for many people and their situations just now, but add-in the retrograde factor and you can see that many of those involved in today’s news-stories are trying to ‘return’ to what was there before, and in some of these cases ‘probably’ will be unsuccessful. I mean one-side-or-the-other.

Let me explain.

In England there’s a fight between ‘travellers’ in their fixed-dwellings and the authorities, and ‘its’ because most of the Irish gypsies are illegally living there, [having put-down fixed roots] in a place where they have no permission to live, and now they are being evicted, but all of them are saying ‘we won’t go’.

The battle is going back and forth through the ‘law’ courts, very Jupiterian. But with the protesters ready to chain and cement themselves in, it could easily run the full length of Jupiter’s rx period.

Currently, if we add in the Venus conjunct Saturn aspect both strong in Libra, its easy to see its a fight between this country’s planning laws, Venus in Libra, ‘everything in its correct place’, and Saturn the Gypsies exaltating their own position, having taken what they wanted.

Libya has another fixed situation which is destined for a change, as the loyalists which are holding-out will be overthrown as the last remnants of the old order fall.

Now the nature of these things sees the changes in ‘that’ country have already been made, and/or continue to be, and the retrograde period is just mopping-it-all-up.

But again the ‘current’ aspect of Venus sees the country having ‘fully’ what its wants in a new and ‘complete’ government but its all linked just now to those who still exalt Gaddaffi, and the coming-together of the planets will overcome the ‘exalted’ one, and Venus will probably ‘end’ the conflict there in the next two days, even if the fighting is not fully over it ‘effectively’ will be done.

Money, more precisely the Euro bail-out is a top-story, brought to our attention by Jupiter Rx. Whilst direct it has highlighted certain Country’s money problems, now Rx it has become all-important to sort-it-out.

Sadly retrograde times rarely ‘sort out’ things quickly, its more like ‘things’ become more obvious, and the need seems more urgent.

Again the current Venus aspect to Saturn shows that the strong ‘financially’ speaking Euro-countries are shown by Venus and the one’s needing help, i.e. Greece etc are being exalted as they need a ‘lift’ [up and out] of their situation, all so the stronger don’t go down. But the conjunction will show ‘just how’ inter connected they’ve all become, expect big news on the Euro before the aspect perfects at Midnight 29th/30th September.

Each of these examples shows an aspect of Jupiter’s nature, i.e. travelling, loyalty and wealth,

All three of these examples have the potential to last-out for a while longer, dragging-it-out to a ‘change’ or a ‘turnaround’, which we might not see the benefit of until early next year.

But none of them will be easily resolved, and could ‘get a lot worse before they get better’, to use that old phrase.

Remember: you probably have a few examples ‘of your own’ in your local area, just think why they are working-out ‘as they are’, and you will have started to get your astro-brain working, its easier than you think.

I am no genius, just someone who studied Astrology’s basics and thought-about-it, and ‘applied’ what i learnt.

Today i am steering-clear of the ‘predictive’ side of things, as although it is possible to predict, it never seems to be possible to do at ‘any’ great length of ‘time’ ahead, and maybe never ‘will be’, unless we really get to ‘grips’ with the wider, or our personal Worlds.

I also feel that we just aren’t skilled-enough for ‘that’ right now, ‘as’ a group of people, because Astrology does suffer from a lack of a game-plan, which could easily be based on some simple principles; and ‘that’ is what is needed right now to gain some self-respect, something which it badly needs, to help it come out of how it is written ‘about’ in the modern press, for example.

But it will probably come from the grass roots, as those who publish magazines etc [just now] have really missed the point, be this on purpose or not. [What i mean is] not many people are doing Astrology ‘full justice’, but its not even their fault, [as in a way] they are only following the tradition developed over the past 60 years of modern thought.

But who will find the ‘way’ to bring it into being? the answer must be ‘all of us’, practitioners and receivers, and that must start in some ‘honest’ dialogue which let’s be honest doesn’t always come from the Astrologer, but then how many cilents ask what it is that they really want to know about. But i sense that is changing, albeit slowly.

No, today i want to work-on that old perennial, ['is' what is said [to be] in my natal chart] provable’? Meaning [you say i'm like this, and i [the receiver] say yes its true or no it isn’t], because for most people encountering ‘someone’ spouting Astrology ‘this is’ as basic as it gets, and they want little else, and will stick with this, unless they are shown ‘more’ is possible.

Books say planets in signs and exaltations are ‘strong’ indicators of having a ‘lot’ of ‘thats’ planets energy in your life, and as many ‘of us’ have these positions it is an important part of Astrology, but when we see that as many people don’t have them, that ‘lack’ must be addressed too.

So some questions arise.

Does a person with the ruler of the 1st house in its own sign or exaltation, have a force of personality which ‘others’ can only envy, and were they born to have/play a bigger ‘part’ in life? or their own lives at the very least, i believe so, but even here there are mitigating factors.

This planet could be in a cadent house, lessening its ability to come-out-to-play, it could be conjunct the Moon’s south node, or afflicted by a square or opposition aspect to Mars or Saturn, which themselves could be severely debilitated, in their detriment or fall.

Will all the other ‘strong’ house ruler ‘positions’ produce like ‘results’? in the ‘field’ they represent, modified to act slightly differently in the ‘house’ they rule over. You [have to] believe this, as its a basic tenant of Astrology, and to think otherwise is to go against ‘why’ people have better and worse conditions in their lives.

Ruling the 2nd, has to give ‘great’ personal wealth, or at least the ability to make wealth or to gather enough self-esteem etc, and to be happy enough with ‘what’ they have. But all the signs have different priorities, and its probably only the Venusian or Jupiterian ones who may seek wealth as a ‘definite’ 2nd house goal.

Making great ‘communicators’ or feeling ‘at one’ with their fellow-man in the 3rd, or having a great Father figure or settled-background in the 4th?

Perhaps some do, or maybe it doesn’t come ‘straight-away’ at birth, and they have to wait til later on in life. Or maybe they have to search-for-it, so [its there to be had], and not always on a ‘plate’. Remember its all about ‘being’ strong, in any ‘given’ department.

Its these little ‘differences’, that could really ‘inform’ our knowledge base. And let’s ask [if it is so, rather than falling flat on our arse's with some guesses], there is no shame in ‘that’, and it could help debunk the myth that Astrologer’s know it all, when it comes to ‘you’.

So maybe you have lord 2 in its exaltation and its only aspect is to a sextile of lord 4, so your dad or property is your main source of income, and that’s fine ’til he dies, or there is no more property to fall back-on.

But [hang-on a mo], surely you’ve enough [inside yourself], with lord 2 in exaltation to do ‘well’ for your pocket, or does it also have to be in aspect with lord 1 to [make you] able to ‘help yourself’.

Its these kind of ‘complications’ and of course personal knowledge that can really ‘inform’ Astrology, on both sides, as any Astrologer should always want to do his/her best, and the client get the best they can.

Remember: its not cheating to ‘have’ our ‘lives’ inform our Astrological knowledge, just good sense.

More now; do ‘only’ people with lord 5 ‘strong’ really have all-the-fun, or a life of pleasure, [of course not]. But it may be a far more accessible ‘part’ of their lives then it is for some of us.

You may have lord 6 well-placed, but if Jupiter is also in the 6th in its ‘fall’, then you’re sure to ‘suffer’ in some way too, as well as benefit from a sign/exalted planets strength.

Lord 7 strong can’t be the only ‘sign’ of those in a ‘happy’ relationship, [but we know] many millions have to settle for less than perfect. So what else could it be that does help relationships?, composite charts possibly, with all those mixed aspects and planets conjunct each others angles etc.

Lord 8 strong, brings money-in from the ‘spouse’, but its ‘many’ aspects may bring extra reward and trouble too. Inequality is ‘rife’ in life.

Should only people with a strong ninth house ‘travel’ or go into ‘higher education’? perhaps they are the ‘ones’ best suited to it, or want it, so whatever will be, will be.

Should people with ‘poor’ 10th houses be excused ‘work’? natural selection i think ‘works’ here. In the Western world there has to be just as many people who would ‘shirk’ rather than ‘work’.

Should those with ‘poor’ 11th houses be given ‘free’ admission to clubs and societies, and lessons on ‘how’ to make friends; Joking of course.

Perhaps Astrology will be used for ‘telling’ such things in the ‘future’.

And do those with strong 12th houses have less personal problems, then those with ‘weak’ positions? perhaps we should ask them and find-out.

A World as seen through ‘Astrology’ [like this] could tackle these questions, but i don’t think i’d like to live like that, [meaning the jokey side of things].

When there is ‘no’ real positive interaction between the ‘theory’ and what the individual needs or wants its bound to go wrong.

But if ‘one-day’ we are going to get-to-grips with Astrology, and make ‘best use’ of it, we may be asking and getting people’s thoughts and experiences on such ‘human/personal’ matters.

Infinite possibilities [as shown by] the multitude of possible ‘birth patterns’ will ‘give’ us so much to go-on, [if people participate], that ‘one-day’ we could become swamped, and that could possibly give ‘work’ to thousands of astrological researchers, for the ‘benefit’ of human-kind.

I’ve hardly ‘touched’ upon the many ‘variations’ possible here, in this semi-jokey post, but a start has been made to open-up what ‘really’ needs saying.

But all this doesn’t account for ‘those’ who have stopped ‘trying’ to get their full potential up-and-running, making their lives probably harder to fathom.

But let’s stick to ‘those’ who are the obvious ‘candidates’ first, as i’m sure there is a vanguard of people who would be willing to look into their own and other people’s lives, and it could be slowly developing.

And if it isn’t, it ‘blooming well’ should be.

As of the 24th the ‘leader’ is still calling for ‘armed’ people to fight the revolutionaries, and until September the 12th when Saturn conjuncts Mars there may well be ‘troubled times’.

I wrote sometime ago on the Libyan war, and noted how Saturn seemed to be making all ‘the going’ in the conflict, [i mean, showing itself mostly 'when' significant action by 'the rebels' took place], and indeed when it went Rx, and then direct again things quietened-down somewhat, although things were slowly changing as ‘that’ planet made its ‘way’ away then returning to conjunct Saturn’s natal place, for the final time.

Now, today 24th August, we see that Saturn has made its final ‘hit’ of its Saturn return, [on 21st August], and never have i seen such a ‘liberation’ marked ‘exactly’ by a planets ‘return’ to its natal position, [although it has surely happened somewhere like this before].

But do we ‘owe it’ all to Saturn being the ‘strongest’ planet in the 1951 chart?, yes i think we do, but crucially it is its placement on the 7th house by ‘antiscion’ aspect opposite the Asc, showing this Country which brings an ‘opposition’ force within the Country to the fore.

And this ‘movement’ has pushed-on and become the ‘force’ of change so ‘typical’ of a/the Saturn return.

But let’s see if there’s more to this story?

I think it may be/feel like ‘victory’, and who wouldn’t ‘chime’ [naturally] at ‘this time’ to the Saturn return.

But Libya’s chart has Saturn conjunct Mars, and this Mars is in Libra is in its detriment, so just as it feels like its ‘all done’ the ugly face of Mars, will possibly keep the ‘fighting’ going, if only until Saturn has passed Mars, as said. I say this as back in late February the ‘fighting’ began with the Rx Saturn conjunct Mars.

As for the future, my money is on the 15th of October for ‘real’ times of a new Country ‘forming’ what will be a new Libya, as then the North Node will conjunct Mercury in Sagittarius, the 1951 charts Ascendant ruler, and with Mercury near to Venus too. But a lot is possible between now and then.

But as for the ‘above’ prediction, prediction is nearly always wrong, so why stick my head-out, as its only an semi-educated guess after all, but worth a ‘shot’ in-the-dark i think.

Note: it all goes to show you, that no matter what ‘time’ it says on the clock, or whatever the date, people and nations are ‘set’ to the cosmic patterns which are ‘forever’ around, and being played-out, due to ‘previous’ times of importance.

Its general tone, as a cadent house is one of sorrow, weakness and affliction, and with my 1st house ruler, [Jupiter] here, and my Moon, i can attest to that, as i sometimes feel that i ‘never’ rise above the ‘condition’ i was into.

So, lets look at all of the above, and see what i already know about these ‘things’ in my life.

You should do likewise, [as it’s a great learning tool], and it is part of the reason i am writing these [Coley] posts, to get you looking and thinking about how there is a perfectly good source of ‘astrology’ in his books, if you ‘care’ to search ‘him’, or any of the older sources, because its well worth it. But of course modern-day authors can provide much the same, but i feel those older sources were really ‘on-the-ball’.

Now as you might expect with my Lord 1 and the Moon here, i would have all ‘things’ of the sixth house working-out in my life, and i must say they do figure ‘highly’ in my life.

I ‘say’ [all] things, but of course it has to be narrowed-down to Gemini and Mercury’s rulership of things, for me; as you must always ‘consider’ the sign on the sixth cusp, and its ruler in the same way as i just have.

Now, Mercury is my 6th lord, and is in strong ‘mixed’ receptions to Lord 1, making it, ‘for me’ anyhow harder to escape many of the 6th house things in my life, or it should be said that i have a ‘easy’ access to my sixth, so fall-into-it quite readily. The only real balance or alternative to this ‘output’ is [that] Mercury is as far away from ‘me’, [meaning the Asc] by being placed in the seventh house, so [that means] i often have to search long and hard, and often find, [as you might expect] the ‘answer’ or ‘power’ lying mixed-in with other people or so ‘deep’ or ‘far’ away from me that i often have a ‘hard’ choice to make, or none-at-all depending on how seriously interested i am in the thing/person i am pursuing.

Now, lets see what Coley says about Lord 6 in the 7th house.

It is interesting to see how they ‘wrote’ about things in the seventeenth century; he says that “the ‘native’ will be subject to prejudice from, or by the means of the female sex”. I have had some experience of this, as women do tend to ride rough-shod over me, especially when one-or-more of them are ‘together’ in my presence, but i feel he means just the one’s close to me. Next he says to be wary of catching a [social disease, meaning a sexual one], but thankfully this has never occurred. He says the ‘wife’ may be sickly and infirm, but as i have no wife i cannot judge, he says of ‘this’ that the ‘native’ [me] may be somewhat guilty in this infirmness or sickness, or at least accused of ‘many’ an evil action, [which may be 'true'], but in today’s society people may find hard to own-up-to, or even ‘see it’ as emanating from themselves, i know i can have a strange ‘effect’ on those close to me ‘mentally’, but i’ll say no more than that.

I also think that ‘partners’ could be included in this meaning of ‘wives’, and as i have no objection to taking-on a ‘partner’, who may not be in ‘full’ health physically or mentally, as that seems to fit what’s being said here, and it kind-of ‘mirrors’ something of how i am ‘myself’, not being in ‘that’ great mental or physical health, so that is ok.

So now i will get back to what i wrote about, as ‘things’ of this ‘house’, in some detail.

Everyone agrees that the sixth is the house of ill-health, and with Gemini on the cusp and Mercury ruling, i do suffer from breathing problems because its an ‘air’ sign, but also because my Jupiter in Gemini, part of ‘me’, [is placed here] and does itself [no favours] by ‘smoking’ cigarettes, and of course it has to be a daily habit because of its conjunction to the Moon.

Mercury in the seventh does mean ‘others’ have an ability to make me ill, and also that i try ‘hard’ not to do it to them. I also find that ‘other people’ just ‘get-on-my-nerves’, and if they go-on-and-on with their incessant talk and ‘problems’ i can suffer at their hands. This may not be a very ‘politically correct’ thing to say, but it is as near to the ‘truth’ as i can get.

Also over the years i’ve also found that ‘any’ planets in the 7th house can be in a ‘void’ state until utilized/got ready, and the sixth ruler in the seventh is very prone to what are sudden changes in what people do, as you can’t help but feel that you’re a ‘part’ of them, or what-it-is that goes-on around them i find, especially when they ‘themselves’ scatter themselves around.

Now once again getting-back to what i said at the beginning. Small animals, or domesticated ones are shown by this house. I have only ever owned 2 cats, [sisters], ‘black ones’, and some people do associate Gemini with black and white. One cat was jumpy and nervous, and the other indolent and hungry, maybe perfect examples of my Moon conjunct Jupiter here in this house. I loved them both a lot, but one of them went and lived outside and never came home although i often saw her sitting in the communal garden, the other needed much looking after and feeding, they probably both showed-up a part of me, [that of] total freedom and of total caring/looking after.

I have ‘partly’ covered my ill-health, but Coley says [most importantly] someone with lord one in the sixth is dogged with life-long ill-health, [and in my case] he’s spot-on, but enough said.

Moving-onto my father’s brother’s and sisters, with Jupiter conjunct the Moon, he came from one of seven children, and a ‘close’ family they were too, with my grandmother looking after and closely involved with them too, although each was very ‘independent’ in their own way, and i certainly follow in that vein. Its strange but now i come to think of it, each one did hide somewhat their own personalities, and only spoke-up or out in a ‘socializing’ way, i mean the Jupiterian impulse being the means of ‘communication’, speaking-up as a ‘whole’, rather than as individual voices.

Now, to suffer at the ‘hands’ of others is something i’m well-aware of, having learnt some very hard lessons, especially at school, and with Gemini being on the sixth house, and that connected to ‘basic’ schooling, it was the ‘right’ place to learn it. I was far to ‘open’ to every influence at school, sometimes thinking and believing i knew and felt everything that was going-on there, but it was always the ‘bad’ or rubbish parts of it. I was bodily bullied and had to hide in semi-madness and foolery to survive. But what i learnt, was ‘that of’ people’s motivations to do things, and some of the deep psychology behind people’s views on tackling life, and the force of resistance they would ‘use’ in retaining their ‘selves’ through-out most of the ‘s**t that was thrown their way. I ‘really’ lived those years, but hardly talk of them, although they certainly informed my future choices and still do.

Finally onto servitude: i come from very simple parents, although they are ‘both’ very up and aware in their ‘folk’ commonsense. What they had in common was the simple attitude of get a ‘job’ [work], and provide for the basics of family-life and then retire to a well-deserved rest, and they managed ‘that’ very well. Servants ‘only’ they were, and here’s the ‘point’, all they ever wanted for me was to follow in their shoes, nothing more was ever said to me, or my brother or sister, it was just an unspoken way of things, a simple existence and example to follow, and they couldn’t ‘give’ anything else.

So with ‘small’ expectations, i have done ‘little’ other than this, [in my life], although with Jupiter in the sixth, i’ve spent just as much time/more in fact ‘with space from being a servant/worker’ as i have being a worker, and ill-health has often took the ‘place’ of earning a living, but i’ve no problem with that, as some might have, as it seems the ‘natural’ way [for me].

I have been lying on my bed these last three days with backache, due to twisting my spine whilst house painting, it happened with both Sun and Moon in Leo, a sign associated with our ‘backs’, and it is only now that I am getting better.

I could hardly move, i’ve been like a recovering accident victim, using a ‘floor-mop’ as a temporary walking-stick.

It got me thinking how important ‘movement’ really is, as there are few up’s and down that you’re ‘capable of’ whilst lying-flat. But these ‘flat’ times can be a real ‘pain’ when you still have an active mind.

Mercury is in its sign and exaltation, but its also nearly stationary retrograde, [is stationary, of the posts time of publishing], and hardly into Virgo, at 1 degree, hardly getting started there.

Now don’t let it be said that bad things ‘cannot’ happen to someone with, or at the ‘time’ when Mercury is in its full pomp, because [if you have 'everything' now, as Mercury does] then a ‘fall’ from that ‘perfection’, or ‘what’ is its best ‘state’, is maybe ‘one’ of the only ‘options’ available to you, and remember that what i’ve been through is ‘something’ typical of Mercury here ‘slowing’ right-down, to a stop.

But ‘luckily’ what follows the Mercury station is a nice sextile aspect to Mars, and a recovery to ‘easy’ movement is shown, and is the natural ‘way’ ahead.

Now, there’s no doubt how much these ‘planets’ do like to ‘move’, so with some ‘guts and determination’ i have got myself walking again.

Now i feel that without this ‘sextile’, [coming up 'fast' after the Mercury station], and if there had been ‘other’ ‘difficult ‘transits’ [aspects], and/or say Mars going into retrograde motion too, or even Mercury square or opposition Mars, instead of the sextile the ‘whole’ outcome could’ve been quite different, or at least harder.

Now, i do wonder ‘why’ i got ‘hit’ like this, as i had nothing of ‘note’, [natally] affected, and there was nothing ‘else’ [other] than what i’ve just said to count-upon.

But all ‘lazy’ Astrologer’s, [like me] always say ‘this’ because it covers-up and hides the ‘fact’ that s/he isn’t good enough to see any other ’causes’ of his ‘plight’ because he isn’t skilled enough, or simply hasn’t learnt enough to better inform his ‘work’.

But then again one must admit that sometimes ‘things’ just happen in ‘life’ that ‘may’ just have no discernible astrological pattern behind them, but of course ‘here’ i have found something, but felt that there should’ve been more, especially some connections to my natal chart.

Then again we must see that ‘transits’ and ‘stationary planets’ by their own strength’s may ‘just’ be able to ’cause’ a ‘happening/accident’ to you, without directly ‘hitting’ your chart.

So, what it has come-down-to is ‘having’ nothing to [go on], in ‘my’ [past or present knowledge, giving me 'little' or no help to 'spot' what 'may' be really happening], making me open-up my mind to other possibilities, like i’ve just done, and to puzzle-out if there is ‘more or less’ to an experience ‘that’ i’ve just had, or not.

Which ‘all’ can turn into an astrological nightmare ‘of sorts’, and so this ‘post’ is here to demonstrate and tell you [in long-hand] that you, [the readers] may have to grapple with ‘what seems’ like a ‘quite’ an ordinary event, but which comes-over astrologically, at least, as a bit of a task to get to grips with.

I know now, that i have made it seem more complicated then it really is, but in this ‘post’ [at least] i really wanted you to ‘see’ the full-workings of a man working-out his thinking-processes to come to his ‘answer’, as to ‘why’ all this is happening to him.

These ‘ways’ of deduction must [dog] the Astrologer somewhat, but we all must all come-out from our own workings-out, to our ‘own’ conclusions.

P.S. Top quality working-out and delivery gets severely hit when Mercury is Rx in Virgo, so when you’ve read the post, know its been hard to get this ‘one’ up-there in quality, this time.

If you look at their natal chart its hard to find anything which is obvious to why the shootings happened. But lets find the significators; Mars for guns and the 5th house for the country’s youth, and Pluto for such a ‘massive’ event.

But first we look back to the June 15th eclipse.

On July 22nd we have Mars not quite on the eclipse degree but it has reached the south node just a few degrees before the eclipse degree.

The killer ‘acts-out’ a cleansing or clearing-out for the country, as that is the nature of the south node, but he does it as a individual. [I'm sorry to put it like that], but i’m talking Astrology here. I mean he ‘thinks’ he’s working-out something ‘for’ the Country, but the populace comes-back and steadfastly refutes this, and show their strength and unity.

This eclipse also shows why the ‘youth’ were the target, because if you ‘set it’ for Oslo Mars sits on the 5th house, so they take it full-force.

Now, you have to look very hard to see this, but on that date Pluto was exactly on the antiscion of the eclipses degree at 5 37 Capricorn, and so this lone-wolf ‘struck’ with terror and ruthlessness. Plus Mars was on [near as damn it] the country’s Pluto, and so this combination with the south node made for a extremely malefic force.

All this has to be then mixed-in with what was happening to the country’s north node, and although Mercury was still-in Leo it would eventually get to retrograde in early Virgo, and this ‘station’ comes close to their north node.

Why this is important is because Mercury rules the country’s first house, and there’s no doubt the killer thought he was pushing his country forward.

This rather ‘complex’ effect of the two nodes being-in-play, but working ‘differently’ threw-up a rather ‘contrary’ set of circumstances.

Finally, its strange that he mentioned about ‘things’ 60 years ahead. If we take/add 60 degrees to the Norwegian chart, we get Jupiter Rx nearly exactly opposite the country’s Mars, its lord 9, a significator, [maybe] of distant times and philosophies.

Plus there is also a lord one ‘Mercury’ trine Jupiter, out of the 1st house to the 9th, which needs to be considered, which again could signal a new approach in the country, so perhaps he ‘foresaw’ different ‘times’, which will come [in any 'form' you may like to predict] in time.

Final Note: i have no sympathy for him or his cause, and have only written ‘this’ from an astrological viewpoint.

Here’s my astrological view. Its only an introduction, into what i think, i may write more.

Most people are in agreement that we should be using the ‘time’ that the Winter ingress happens, as the astro-data for this ‘supposedly’ momentous day.

I have no real objection to this, but do any of ‘us’ really know whether astrology [as a 'marker'] will have ‘any’ [say or play] in what might happen on the ‘day’, or in the ‘days’ following.

The other ‘way’ is to assume that something ‘big’ actually does happen on the 21st.

My nephew asked me what i thought may happen?, and i said, that like many millions of ‘others’ i don’t really know, but suggested that the internet may go down due to massive online visits and shopping just before Christmas, but that is only a guess.

What i really think though, is ‘that’ the date is saying ‘things’ of importance will happen in the allotted ‘time’ [after] the 21st, that is given by astrology in the accepted rules for ‘ingresses’, stretching over many months, and varying over the ‘globe’ depending on where the planets are placed in your global location.

And this is partly why i thought of Google having problems due to them having Saturn rising in the ingress chart at Palo Alto.

Now taking another ‘view’ apart from the ‘ingress’, people say they can’t see anything in the ‘chart’ for the ‘day’, [what i mean is the whole 24 hrs], and i can understand this, as on-the-face-of-it [nothing] ‘traditional’ stands-out.

They mean there are no major planetary conjunctions etc, believing that without ‘such’ the day is rendered meaningless, but that is a kind of astro-blindness.

But i am as sure as i can be of ‘things’ [without research], that many of the other days when ‘predicted’ things happened, there was no major Jupiter/Saturn conjunctions or suchlike to mark the day, as they just don’t happen that often.

So now, back to the assumption that it all ‘hinges’ on the ingress, its the Aries ingress of 2012, then Capricorn ‘one’ which should be consulted for ‘any’ timings.

The Aries ‘ingress’ will have something to say if ‘other’ factors deem it necessary, but i haven’t looked at it yet, and the rules for its ‘use’ are somewhat difficult to understand, and it may be that you don’t use it on some occasions, if i remember correctly, anyhow…

… so what is in the Capricorn ingress chart? the most important factor, [as far as i can see] has to be Mars, on or near its exaltation degree, making it a super strong ‘planet’ for the things which are to ‘happen’ in the following months.

I know it should not to be ignored, and as [i doubt] its been in that ‘position’ in ‘any’ ingress chart that ‘often’ in many many years, its power is ‘sure’ to come as full-force.

Now Mars couldn’t be any stronger, or so you might think. But no, it is also bolstered by a ‘sign’ mutual reception to Saturn in Scorpio, by being in Capricorn.

Now these two malefic ‘powers’ combined add-up-to quite a powerful force, and by the ‘knowledge’ set-down in ‘lore’ should be working at their best together, [helping each other], with Mars having the ‘upper hand’, due to its exalted status.

Mars, and all that it represents, especially War will be ‘helped’, and it will get stronger by this reception to Saturn, and vice versa.

And i fear its maligness may get out-of-control, and maybe Wars will break-out everywhere, as Mars goes on the rampage, but we will see. War will certainly be the ‘biggest’ game in town.

But Mars isn’t finished there, it has a mixed reception to Moon in Aries, but this brings the Moon into Capricorn, [its detriment], whilst Mars remains strong in Aries. So the general populations will suffer at the hand of Mars, as the military tries its hardest to get the ‘people’ on its side. But hasn’t ‘this’ been the ‘case’ for sometime now in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Now, as said the Moon, [the people] ‘falls’ at the expense of Mars, [maybe the military], and so Mars’s strength just keeps-on.

Now, all this is possibly quite ‘bad’ for ‘anyone’ [but those] ‘welding the stick.

Now, there is also one other ‘factor’ of great importance in the chart, and that is, there’s a Jupiter/Mercury signs reception too. So the ‘fight’ is also going to be over ‘religious’ conviction, as so many are. Now, our leaders here in the ‘West’ no doubt would love to see the ‘Middle East’ converted to ‘our’ ways but i fear its a losing game.

And, as its not so ridiculous to see the War between the West and the Arab World still-on in 2012, we may ‘really’ see ‘things’ coming-to-a-head then.

But whilst Mars and Saturn are naturally malefic, and Jupiter benefic, and Mercury neutral, i wonder if the World literally comes to a ‘state’ of Good versus Evil, [or at least], it is portrayed ‘as such’.

But Jupiter is only strong with Mercury on its side, so i’d say ‘evilness’ has the upper-hand, and perhaps its the ‘time’ when ‘its’ let loose, as said in the book of Revelation.

Anyhow this strong Mars will try to gain the ‘populace’ over to its way of thinking, to the average man’s ‘detriment’.

But this is ‘still’ 2011 style thinking, and things can change so bleeding-fast.

So whether it does turn-out to be what i’ve just said, or an ‘asteroid’ from space to kill-us-all on the day…

… there is coming a ‘dominant’ time for Mars, and just like in ‘times’ of eclipses, ingresses affect the whole World.

Final note: if you’ve got Ramesay’s book, look-up what he says on ingresses, and let it inform you of just what Mars in ‘exaltation’ can fore-shadow for the World at such times.
